Shady Lady Fine Art
If I could evoke nostalgia by drawing in scents rather than charcoal, I would, but my hope is to create a visual mood so strong that maybe you’ll feel it all the same.
Rose, petrichor, honeysuckle, pipe smoke, santal, dust on old velvet drapes.
Creating under the pseudonym Shady Lady, I pay homage to my grandmother, Bobbi Zorn, the former owner of the Victorian beauty that was the Long Island Shady Lady Inn. Through charcoal on paper, I strive to capture the essence of her enchanting lifestyle.
Within the frames of my artwork, I seek to revive an era of elegance, mystery, and romanticism.
May each observer find themselves enveloped in a dreamscape. Above all else, I wish for my art to exude magic, shadowy and patinated with light as it may be.
